Return to Dhrangadhra: A Passage to India is a photographic journey from my third visit to Gujarat, India, filmed and photographed in February and March of 2025.
This album documents my return to Dhrangadhra—a place that has become deeply familiar and welcoming over the years. Through these images, I reflect on the friendships I’ve formed, the generosity of the people I’ve met, and the sense of connection that continues to draw me back to Gujarat.
During this journey, I was immersed in everyday life and local culture: visiting Hindu temples, attending village festivals, celebrating Holi in Dhrangadhra with communal bonfires, and exploring the spiritual traditions of the region, including learning about Swaminarayan and visiting the monumental Hanuman sculpture in Salangpur. The journey also took me beyond the city, including a Jeep tour across the stark and beautiful landscape of the Little Rann of Kutch.
These photographs are not just a record of travel, but a personal return—an ongoing dialogue between memory, place, and people. This is my passage back to Dhrangadhra.
