Описание: ‘Tis the season to be jolly! Enjoy an afternoon of music and merriment with some of New York’s finest musicians introduced by your favorite WQXR hosts! Put some Jingle in your Kringle!

Featuring:

Flutist Emi Ferguson and Friends shake up the holiday classics with their own interpretations! Emi is a multi-threat artist - in addition to playing a variety of flutes, Emi is also a singer, composer, children’s book author and one of the hosts of the Young Artists Showcase on WQXR!

Under the direction of Melissa Attebury, the Trinity Youth Chorus consists of talented young people from ages 5-18 from all around NYC and surrounding areas. They’ll perform portions of Benjamin Britten’s Ceremony of Carols with the celebrated harpist Ashley Jackson. Winter music that will warm your heart!

The New York Times calls Kim David Smith the “male Marlene Dietrich” and the Wall Street Journal praises him for being “slyly subversive!” Smith and pianist Brian Nash will take us to Germany for a “Wery Weimar Christmas” with cabaret interpretations of Holiday classics! Smith will be guaranteed to don gay apparel!

The MSM Horn Quartet from the Manhattan School of Music will serenade us with holiday tunes. The trumpet will sound - along with a few other instruments to ring in the holiday season!

New York Pops pianist Lee Musiker is an Emmy Award winning conductor, pianist, composer and arranger. In advance of the New York Pops much anticipated Christmas show at Carnegie Hall, Musiker will be playing the songs he loves to play without a single stop.
