Описание: Why do some people receive compassion instantly while others are quietly judged? This talk introduces the concept of “aesthetic morality” which is the subtle tendency for humans to mistake comfort and familiarity with ethical and moral truth. Blending psychology, neuroscience, and real world research, this talk explores how our brains are wired to favor what feels safe and reject what feels unfamiliar, distorting our sense of justice without us realizing it. Questioning the belief that moral instincts are objective, it argues that true moral evolution requires training the mind to pause, question first reactions, and consciously outgrow primitive patterns. Anika is a student who enjoys overanalyzing philosophy and drawing absurd conclusions from every piece she reads. She’s curious, opinionated, and more comfortable asking inconvenient questions than giving polished answers. Anika has a habit of pointing out contradictions (usually with a straight face and very little apology.) When she speaks, she aims to invite people to slow down and maybe think a little harder than they plan to. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at https://www.ted.com/tedx
