Lamborghini Gallardo Spyder Apple CarPlay + K40 Radar Rescue

Описание: In this video John tackles a 2009 Lamborghini Gallardo Spyder for an Apple CarPlay audio upgrade along with a K40 radar wiring rescue. This client is no strange to the Lamborghini Gallardo Spyder. We previously installed a Kenwood CarPlay radio in his last Lambo which was unfortunately totaled by an inattentive driver. He was at least able to pull the Kenwood eXcelon Apple CarPlay radio out for us to install in this 2009 Lamborghini Gallardo Spyder.

The replacement Lambo Gallardo Spyder he brought in was not completely stock. Someone had previously added a very poorly installed K40 radar and laser detection system. When the Lambo first arrived I could clearly see the K40 radar module dangling under the driver's side with bare wires hanging off of it. I knew this would be a total gut and redo for John. These are John's FAVORITE types of jobs!

Check it out and follow along with John as he dissects the old poorly installed radar and badly placed laser shifters. The end result for this Lambo Gallardo Spyder is a spotless K40 install with a fully functional radar detector with laser shifting.

BONUS - because the Kenwood eXcelon DMX957XR Apple CarPlay head unit is Maestro compatible and the K40 is also Maestro compatible, we tied in the K40 radar detector to the Kenwood head unit. Check out how the iDatalink Maestro interrupts and mutes the audio on the screen while displaying the K40 on screen. How cool is that???

Along with the upgraded Kenwood eXcelon Apple CarPlay stereo, we also upgraded the very basic stock 6.5" speakers to Alpine R series Pro R2-S652 6.5" component speakers powered by the compact Alpine KTA-F30W high powered 4-channel amp which we bridged for a whopping 150x2 RMS. The final result is this Lambo Gallardo Spyder has wireless Apple CarPlay with a fully functional and integrated K40 system and speakers that play loud enough to hear over the engine noise and open road.
