Is your fire alarm fuse spur up to British Standard regulations?
Here's a clip of WFP Fire & Security engineer, George, replacing the old non-approved fire alarm spur to the new British Standard approved fuse spur, which needed to be fitted to comply with new fire alarm standards.
Buildings, too often, do not comply with fire safety requirements and regulations, which can be detrimental to the efficiency of fire alarms and other forms of life safety equipment.
The best way to ensure you are safe and legally compliant is to carry out your fire alarm maintenance every six months by a competent specialist, as stipulated in the BS 5839-1: 2017 and the duties of the 'Responsible Person' in the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005.
