The recently established Natural Fibre Hub is a collaborative initiative between the CSIR and the Coega Development Corporation. Located at the Coega Special Economic Zone outside Gqeberha, it provides the opportunity to establish hemp fibre cultivation and processing research and development, as well as scaling for this sunrise South African industry. This talk focuses on the strategic role that the Natural Fibre Hub will play in the agricultural, transport and construction industries, among others.
