Two men are expected to apply for bail in the Senekal Magistrate's court, in the Free State.
It is alleged the two murdered 21-year-old farm manager Brendin Horner two weeks ago.
Horner's body was tied to a pole with injuries to his neck and face.
With the first appearance, farmers wanted law officials to hand over the accused to them.
