WE SLEPT NEXT TO AN ACTIVE VOLCANO (Volcán Acatenango Hike)

Описание: In today's video we did one of our most CHALLENGING hikes ever and go to watch an active volcano erupt right in front of our eyes. One of the craziest experiences of our lives and one of the hardest things we've ever done.

We started on a Friday morning at 7:30 am being picked up from our Airbnb and set off to the town of La Soledad to start our hike. After a 45 minute drive and some instructions, we started the hike up the volcano. The terrain was very extreme and most of the path was just straight up hill which would give any person a good challenge. After about 5 hours of hiking straight up hill we made it to our base camp and watched the volcano erupt for the first times, but WE HAD NO IDEA how crazy it would be at night. Lava was spewing everywhere as soon as the sun set and we got to see this beast of a volcano in action. We have never seen anything like it.

After a horrible night's sleep we hiked another 1 hour to the summit to get the beautiful views from the top and to watch the sunrise over the mountains and volcanoes.

WE HIGHLY RECOMMEND OUR GUIDE HENRY!! He was so funny and an amazing person. He loves taking smaller groups which is a much more personal experience and we had so much fun.
