I was inspired to make this video after picking one of these machines up off my local craigslist for just 30 bucks. The VF160ex is an older hard disc digital recorder, that I think still serves a purpose in 2025. The more I thought about it, I couldn't think of any other digital recorder that can track 16 tracks simultaneously, with 16 individual faders, for anywhere near that price?
