Sydney-based Daniel Arena is launching his new album, A Map the Size of the Kingdom at The Dock in Redfern, Sunday 23rd June 7pm-10pm, with support from Francisco Sonur and JVisceral. All are performing live electronic sets.

Daniel’s music takes cues from early Warp, Ninja Tune, chiptunes and dub reggae. His new album began as a deconstruction of LFO's IDM classic Advance, mutating into something darker and weirder during recording. The live set draws from nearly twenty years of solo material.

The album title references the one-paragraph Borges story, "On Exactitude in Science", which asks the question: What are you going to leave behind?

Highlight track The Museum was the last to be written for the album, and pulls sounds from 1970s synthesizers, self-written audio software, public spaces... and a dishwasher.
