The Package – Part 1

During this season, we often focus on presents under the tree while overlooking the Gift who hung on a tree. This message reminds us that the first thing God offers is not presents, but presence. God did not send a messenger, an angel, or a representative. He sent Himself.

Jesus is Emmanuel. God with us.

From Genesis to Revelation, Scripture tells the story of a God who desires to dwell with His people. He walked with Adam and Eve in the garden, stayed with the patriarchs, led Israel through the wilderness, and dwelled among His people in the tabernacle and the temple. Sin created separation, but Jesus came to restore access.

In this message, you will learn:

The manger teaches us something powerful. God is willing to meet us exactly where we are. He is not intimidated by broken places, painful seasons, or unfinished stories. There is no place He will not go to be with you.

Jesus did not wait for humanity to rise up. He came down.
He did not wait until we had it all together. He stepped into our mess.
He is Emmanuel not only in December, but on ordinary days, hard days, confused days, and painful days.

When you open this package, it lights up everything it touches. That is what God’s presence does.
