It's time for the Composer Movie Challenge #27!
We’re going to create a piece of music to honour a figure of courage and compassion within one of the most celebrated franchises in sci-fi cinematic history.
PLEASE WATCH THE FOLLOWING VIDEO FOR THE TOPIC OF THIS EDITION OF THE CHALLENGE.
Details of the challenge are mentioned in the video clip below. Any composition that does not meet our criteria will be disqualified. Therefore, please watch the entire video before you begin and follow our usual guidelines for the challenge:
1. Submit your entries as comments in the post below this post.
2. The music must be your original and created specifically for this challenge. Thus, no original scores/themes of other composers shall be included in your composition.
3. The goal is to create a brand new theme music for the legendary movie franchise.
4. There is no limit on the quantity of submissions from each composer.
5. Submissions must be no less than 2 mins.
6. Entries MUST be submitted via SoundCloud https://soundcloud.com/. Otherwise, entries posted on other social media venues will be disqualified.
7. ALL PARTICIPANTS MUST vote.
Entries Due by May 29th, 2026 by 11:59 PM EST.
We will collect all participants’ works on SoundCloud and create a playlist for everyone to listen to. Hence, all participants and all members can evaluate the pieces and cast their votes accordingly.
