Seoi otoshi . "Seoi" means "shoulder," and "otoshi" means "drop" or "to drop." It’s often translated as "shoulder drop." It is a shoulder throw where the practitioner uses their shoulder to drop the opponent down.
Drop Ippon (often referred to as Ippon Seoi Nage - Drop version)
In Drop Ippon, the person performing the throw drops into a kneeling or squatting position, pulling the opponent forward .
Key Differences:
Seoi Otoshi: Lowering your body to drop the opponent straight down. Less lift, more control.
Seoi Nage: Lifting and throwing over your shoulder, using more explosive power.
