The Department of Food Technology and Quality Control has ordered the immediate recall of croissants produced by Nanglo Bakery Pvt. Ltd. in Godawari, Lalitpur. The bakery’s croissant samples, collected during market inspection, were found to contain harmful levels of trans fat far exceeding the permitted standard.
According to the department, laboratory tests confirmed that the product contained industrial trans fat above the maximum allowed limit of 2%. The product has been classified as low-quality and unsafe for consumers, prompting the recall order.
