This recognition affirms the work we continue to do through indigenous leadership, innovation, and legitimacy — pillars that form the foundation of SCAL’s 20-year sustainable vision for Africa. It strengthens my resolve to actively implement this vision, ensuring that our traditions are not only preserved but transformed into practical solutions for governance, peace, economic development, and cultural renewal.

To me, this award is both an honour and a responsibility. It is a reminder that leadership is service, that recognition comes with accountability, and that the work of reclaiming Africa’s narrative must continue with courage, unity, and purpose.

I receive this award not for myself alone, but on behalf of African traditional leaders, indigenous women and youth, and all those who believe in an Africa grounded in its own wisdom and authority.
