What is the Salvation Army?

The Salvation Army is a Christian organization that exists to proclaim God's redemptive love by meeting human need wherever, whenever, and however they can. The mission of the Salvation Army is, scripturally speaking, part the mission of all churches worldwide. This truth is clearly seen in James 1:27.

"Pure and genuine religion in the sight of God the Father means caring for orphans and widows in their distress and refusing to let the world corrupt you."
