The attack, meticulously coordinated, targeted a wide range of sites, including government portals, educational institutions, e-commerce platforms, and small businesses.

The hackers, who identified themselves as part of a group called "Bangladesh Cyber Force," defaced websites, replacing the original content with messages promoting Bangladeshi nationalism and criticizing the Indian government. The defaced pages displayed the Bangladeshi flag and various slogans, along with warnings about the vulnerabilities in India's cyber defenses.

The attack sparked widespread concern across India, as experts highlighted the alarming ease with which the hackers were able to breach security protocols. Many websites experienced significant downtime, and the breach led to the potential exposure of sensitive user data, including personal information and financial details.

Indian authorities quickly mobilized cybersecurity teams to assess the damage and restore the affected sites. The Indian Computer Emergency Response Team (CERT-In) worked around the clock to contain the spread of the attack and secure compromised systems. However, the scale of the hack raised questions about the adequacy of India's cybersecurity infrastructure, particularly in the face of cross-border cyber threats.
