This video shows highlights from our first visit to Denmark, starting in its capital city, Copenhagen.
The walk begins at Kongens Nytorv, one of the main squares in the city, and continues along the waterfront toward the famous Little Mermaid statue, inspired by the fairy tale by Hans Christian Andersen.
Along the way, several historic and well-known places can be seen, including the Gefion Fountain, St. Alban’s Church, and Amalienborg Palace, the residence of the Danish royal family. The route also passes Ofelia Beach, a modern waterfront space with views across the harbor.
The walk ends at Nyhavn, the colorful canal area with historic buildings and wooden ships, which reflects Copenhagen’s maritime past.
