Badminton Horse VS Baby | Jump Training Day!

Описание: Today’s video is a proper training day with two very different horses, and it really shows just how different their jobs are at the moment.

First up is Marge, one of my more experienced horses, and we do some jumping at home working through a specific exercise to keep her sharp and confident. She’s on her way to Badminton Grassroots this year, so every session now is about fine tuning the details, keeping her feeling strong, and making sure we’re both as prepared as we can be for the season ahead. It’s always so interesting working with a horse that knows their job so well.

Then it’s time to hop in the Liberty Horsebox and head off with my four year old Kiki, who is in a very different stage of her career. This was her first jump in three months after her winter break, so the aim was simply to give her a positive experience and remind her what the job is.

Because she’s still very green, I decided to take her to arena hire so we had plenty of space and could keep everything relaxed. Her eyes were definitely on stalks at first, but she tried her absolute heart out. She even jumped her first ever water tray, which felt like a pretty big moment for such a young horse.

Two horses, two very different training goals, but both such rewarding sessions. Come along for the day and see how we train the horses behind the scenes.
