In the three verses of "Holy Spirit, Come Now," composer and performer Jesse Manibusan captures three major qualities of The Holy Spirit's work in our world today. In verse 1, the focus is on the Holy Spirit helping to bring God's Plan (as Jesus taught us to pray) "here on earth as it is in heaven." In verse 2, Holy Spirit "The Comforter" who meets our needs, especially in the dark corners of our everyday lives. And in verse 3, the focus is on primary fruit of the Spirit, LOVE as shown in our serving one another.
Please note that THE HOLY SPIRIT graphic seen on most every slide has a brightened cross in the background, unlike most Spirit graphics that only show the dove. This is to clearly show my view that THE SPIRIT OF GOD active in the world today is THE HOLY SPIRIT OF JESUS, THE CHRIST … not like a “god” of the Greek pantheon of gods, nor like Deism’s universal Spirit, so common among our country’s founding fathers.
