Unnamed Gap to Doll Flats. Side quest through Hot Springs, NC and Erwin, TN.
Had my first hostel experience at Laughing Heart in Hot Springs, NC. Caught up to Kuya since week 1. Received double trail magic just before reaching mile 300 on an extremely hot day! Saw the biggest butt crack ever. Slept at a haunted gravesite. Enjoyed lunch on top of Big Bald with a bunch of other hikers. Decided to push on 25 miles and got sucked into the vortex at Uncle Johnny's Hostel. We just want Taco Bell. Finally hiked on but caught some sort of bug and was sick on trail for 2 days. Encountered hail for the first time. Had beautiful views climbing over Little Hump Mountain and Hump mountain before residing for the night at Doll Flats, just a few feet away from the North Carolina border.
