This video shows you what it's like to see the third brake light bulb being replaced with the proper size of 194 light bulb for this 2008 smart fortwo cabrio convertible smart car. this video doesn't really show you how to replace the 3rd extra top high mount center upper stop brake light bulb on this smart car, but it does show you what happens if you use the wrong size light bulb in the high mount stop light lens. In this case, the wrong 194 bulb was used (it might be called a 168 bulb, not really sure about that, but it looks like a 194 and has the same base, but this one is a little larger and puts out more heat and light), and it started to melt the inside clear plastic lens of the red brake light. But fortunately the bulb burned out and now it can be replaced with the correct size of light bulb. since the other bulb was too long, and it was getting very hot during operation, it was able to melt the plastic of the inside of the lens, and this could cause a problem over time if not corrected. It could further damage the plastic and make this brake stop light not work properly or not be seen correctly by other drivers, and possibly even cause a car accident, which would definitely not be a good thing. so replacing it with the right size bulb can really help. Cool and awesome! this video is also serves as a warning to notify about the damage that could occur if the improper brake lamp is used in the connector housing.
