🍚 Ingredients:
Chicken – 500g (bone-in or boneless)
Basmati Rice – 2 cups (soaked for 20 minutes)
Onion – 2 medium (thinly sliced)
Tomato – 1 large (chopped)
Ginger Garlic Paste – 1 tbsp
Green Chilies – 2–3 (slit)
Yogurt – 3 tbsp
Salt – to taste
Black Pepper – ½ tsp
Red Chili Powder – 1 tsp
Garam Masala – ½ tsp
Whole Spices –
Bay Leaf – 1
Cloves – 3–4
Cinnamon Stick – 1 small piece
Black Cardamom – 1
Cumin Seeds – 1 tsp
Oil or Ghee – 4 tbsp
Water – 3 cups (adjust as needed)

👩🍳 Recipe Instructions:
1. Fry Onions: Heat oil in a pot, add sliced onions, and fry until golden brown.
2. Add Spices: Add whole spices and fry for a few seconds until fragrant.
3. Add Chicken: Add chicken and cook until it changes color.
4. Add Ginger Garlic Paste: Stir and sauté for 1–2 minutes.
5. Add Tomatoes & Spices: Add chopped tomato, salt, red chili powder, and black pepper. Cook until tomatoes soften and oil separates.
6. Add Yogurt: Mix in yogurt and cook for another 2–3 minutes.
7. Add Water: Pour in water, bring to a boil, then add soaked rice.
8. Cook Rice: Let it cook on medium flame until most water dries up.
9. Dum Step: Cover tightly and steam (dum) on low flame for 10–15 minutes.
10. Serve Hot: Fluff rice gently and serve with raita or salad.
