In this Video I fit a Speed Controller to the Blower in the Forge. It is based on a cheap Pulse Width Modulator (PWM) that I bought on Ebay. The Blower is a 240V single phase 4000rpm motor.
If you are intending on fitting a controller, insure you follow all electrical regs or use a qualified contractor and use the correct wattage/ voltage controller for your application. Also not shown is the Earth loop that earths (or grounds depending on your countries terminology) the motor, the fuse spur and the control box. You must ensure everything is earthed correctly.
