Описание: OSHA’s Whistleblower Protection Program engages is a wide range of activities in partnership with employers, employees, and state plan agencies to achieve OSHA’s mission and operational goals for ensuring workers have the right to exercise their rights regarding a safe and healthy work environment free from the fear of retaliation. This presentation will provide an overview of OSHA’s Whistleblower Protection Program and its activities and experiences in Region IX. Participants will learn the basics of a Whistleblower retaliation complaint, the complaint process, including the important role of state plan agencies, and the 5 elements of OSHA’s recommended practices for employers to implement anti-retaliation programs, among other topics.

• Workers have a right to report safety & health concerns free from the fear of retaliation.
• OSHA partners with state plans to provide broad coverage of Whistleblower protection laws, including safety and health.
• OSHA endeavors to accomplish worker protection through outreach to employers and industry professionals.
