The sacred Srivari Adhyayanotsavams (The Study Festival) is currently being celebrated at the Tirumala Venkateswara Temple. This majestic 25-day event, which began on December 19th, continues until January 12th, filling the air of the holy hills with the divine verses of the Nalayira Divya Prabandham.

The Ritual and Significance: During this auspicious period, Lord Malayappa Swami, accompanied by His consorts Sridevi and Bhudevi, is brought to the Ranganayakula Mandapam. In the presence of the Lord, the Sri Vaishnava Jeeyangar Swamijis lead the Goshti Gaanam (collective chanting), reciting the 4,000 sacred Tamil verses composed by the 12 Alwars.

This is a unique time in the temple calendar known as the Anadhyayana period. During these days, the recitation of the Dravida Vedam (Tamil hymns) takes precedence, marking a tradition established nearly a thousand years ago to honor the profound devotion of the Alwar saints.
