The Venugopala Swamy Temple was built in the 12th century AD around the same time as the Chennakesava Temple of Somanathapura, Mysore district. The new Venugopala Swamy Temple is located at Hosa Kannambadi, Near Krishna Raja Sagara (KRS) Mandya District.
