Shantae Advance: Risky Revolution is a platformer video game developed and published by WayForward. It is the sixth installment in the Shantae series, set chronologically between the original Shantae (2002) and Shantae: Risky's Revenge (2010). The game follows the half-genie Shantae as she journeys through Sequin Land, attempting to stop her nemesis, Risky Boots, from using a subterranean device to terraform the world.

Originally developed for the Game Boy Advance in 2002, Risky Revolution was intended to be the series’ second entry. However, it was cancelled in 2004 after WayForward was unable to secure a publisher. In 2023, WayForward announced that development had resumed, with Limited Run Games set to publish the game physically for the GBA in 2024—later delayed to 2025. Digital versions for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and Windows are also scheduled for release in the same year.

Synopsis
After defeating Risky Boots, Shantae helps build anti-pirate defenses in Scuttle Town. While introducing her friends to newcomer Rottytops, Risky returns with a new plan to conquer Sequin Land using the Tremor Engine—a device that can rotate the land’s foundation to reshape the surface. When Scuttle Town is pushed inland, Shantae's uncle Mimic sends her to find three Relic Hunters who may hold the key to stopping Risky. In response, Risky releases the treacherous Muck Lords to hunt them down.
