The final episode of Guatemala on The JetSetInk Journey begins at 3:30 AM, high on Volcán Acatenango.

After returning late from Volcán de Fuego, I couldn’t sleep at all. The altitude, the cold, the adrenaline — my body just wouldn’t shut down. I was told it’s a side effect of being this high up, but lying there all night gave me time to think.

Instead of tossing and turning, I made a decision.

If I wasn’t going to sleep, I was going to climb.

This episode follows the final hike to Acatenango’s summit in complete darkness. It was cold, demanding, and quiet — not as brutal as Fuego, but still filled with moments that tested resolve and focus.

At the summit, we were rewarded with something special: a firework celebration, a breathtaking sunrise above the clouds, and a shared summit run challenge that turned exhaustion into pure joy.

After making our way back down, I say my farewell to Guatemala — a country that pushed me physically, challenged me mentally, and left a permanent mark on this journey.
