A status hearing is scheduled on Thursday in the Faith Hedgepeth's murder case that captivated the country. Authorities found Hedgepeth beaten to death on Sept. 7, 2012, in her Durham County apartment. On Sept. 16, 2021, Chapel Hill police arrested and charged Salguero-Olivares with murder.
In November 2024, authorities announced the suspect will face additional charges.
