This final Area does feature in castle or fortress, but this castle seems to be somewhere in Sonic 2's Casino Night if the background is anything to go by.
Use all that you've learned up to this point to get through this whole level in one piece and make it to the final boss.

The final boss is, of course, Witchcart! She is a witch that rides in a cart! This means she's the only boss that doesn't use a flying machine. This kinda makes her easier to track down, though.
Oh well, beat her and you beat the game!

Sonic 2 was first released in Japan on November 21st, but the 24th is where it got a bigger international release. This I why I chose today to publish this video.
