Now the bridge is also known as Premam Bridge in Aluva because of being as a character itself in the Premam Malayalam Movie apart from just as a Premam movie location. The bridge connects from Uliyannoor near Aluva market to the northern side of Aluva nearby the famous UC College. This is about a 3 KMs long narrow bridge constructed in 1965 to carry water through pipelines beneath it. This is an excellent spot for relaxing nature walk in such a beautiful village atmosphere. എറണാകുളം ആലുവയിലെ കാരോത്തുകുഴി ഹോസ്പിറ്റലിന് എതിർവശത്തുള്ള ( opp. National Highway ) ഇലഞ്ഞിക്കയിൽ റോഡ് വഴി ഉളിയന്നൂർ കരയിലേക്ക് പ്രവേശിക്കുന്ന ഭാഗത്താണ് പ്രേമം പാലം എന്ന പേരിൽ അറിയപ്പെടുന്ന അക്വഡക്ട് പാലം ആരംഭിക്കുന്നത്. അൽഫോൻസ് പുത്രൻ സംവിധാനം ചെയ്ത പ്രേമം എന്ന മലയാള സിനിമയിലെ രസകരമായ പല രംഗങ്ങളും ഈ പാലത്തിൽ വെച്ചാണ് ചിത്രീകരിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നത്.
ഏകദേശം മൂന്ന് കിലോമീറ്ററോളം നീളത്തിലുള്ള ഈ പാലം അവസാനിക്കുന്നത് ആലുവ പറവൂർ റോഡിനു സമാന്തരമായി യു.സി കോളേജ് ഇരിക്കുന്നതിന് സമീപമാണ്.
1965ൽ നിർമിച്ച ഈ പാലത്തിനു താഴെ പൈപ്പ് ലൈനിലൂടെ പറവൂർ ഭാഗത്തേക്ക് വെള്ളം കൊണ്ടുപോകുവാനായി ഉപയോഗിക്കുന്നതിനോടൊപ്പം നാട്ടുകാർക്ക് ഇത് ഒരു നടപ്പാതയായും ഉപകാരപ്പെടുന്നു. പ്രഭാത നടത്തത്തോടൊപ്പം സൈക്കിൾ സവാരിക്കും ആളുകൾ ഇതിലൂടെ വരാറുണ്ട്.
