First the SKS touts being the largest for cubic footage. It technically is at 18 cubic feet for a 30-inch refrigerator column versus 17.3 for Sub-Zero and 16.8 cubic for Thermador.

For models, SKS covers just the basics of a 30 and 24 inch refrigerator and 30, 24, and 18 inch freezers with 3 wine columns of 18, 24 and 30 inch.

So, you combine the refrigerator and freezer for the larger 42 and 48 inch cabinet sizes. Curiously, SKS doesn’t offer the most common 36-inch size which are the most popular units in the Sub-Zero and Thermador lines.

Well, if you need a refrigerator or freezer column in these specific sizes quickly, then it might be one of your only choices. The actual product is competitive with its stainless-steel interior, controls, quietness, and warranty.

It is also limited because you probably are planning a 36-inch width refrigerator, which SKS does not produce. That's the main problem with this brand. The compressor problems are in the past, I think, but they don’t make the prevailing size of the market.

However, if you are looking at a 42, 48, or 60 inch size, SKS is an option worth exploring.
