Описание: കേരള കോണ്‍ഗ്രസിന്റെ രൂപീകരണം കോണ്‍ഗ്രസിനുള്ളില്‍ ആകസ്മികമായി ഉണ്ടായ ചില സംഭവങ്ങളുടെ ഫലമായിരുന്നു. പാര്‍ട്ടി രൂപീകരിച്ച് മൂന്നു മാസങ്ങള്‍ക്കുള്ളില്‍തന്നെ പാര്‍ട്ടിക്ക് ഒരു തെരഞ്ഞെടുപ്പിനെ നേരിടേണ്ടി വന്നു. 1965ല്‍ 53 സീറ്റില്‍ മത്സരിച്ച കേരള കോണ്‍ഗ്രസ് 24 സീറ്റുകളില്‍ വിജയിച്ച് കോണ്‍ഗ്രസിന് ശക്തമായ വെല്ലുവിളി ഉയര്‍ത്തുന്നു. കോണ്‍ഗ്രസ് നേതാവായിരുന്ന കെ.എം.മാണി കേരള കോണ്‍ഗ്രസില്‍ എത്തുന്നതും ഈ തെരഞ്ഞെടുപ്പിലാണ്. കേരള കോണ്‍ഗ്രസിന്റെ വളര്‍ച്ചയ്ക്കാണ് പിന്നീട് രാഷ്ട്രീയ കേരളം സാക്ഷ്യം വഹിച്ചത്.

The formation of the Kerala Congress was the result of certain unexpected events within the Congress party. Within just three months of its establishment, the party had to face an election. In 1965, contesting in 53 seats, the Kerala Congress won 24 seats, posing a strong challenge to the Congress party. It was during this election that Congress leader K.M. Mani joined the Kerala Congress. The subsequent growth of the Kerala Congress became a notable chapter in the political history of Kerala.
