Allister Brimble is a renowned British video game composer whose career has spanned over 35 years, encompassing more than 400 game soundtracks and over 500 published tracks.
His passion for music composition was ignited by the limitations of early home computers like the ZX Spectrum, leading him to explore music programming. Inspired by David Whittaker's work on "Glider Rider," he transitioned to the Commodore Amiga, where he utilized tools like Sonix and SoundTracker to create and distribute his music through public domain channels such as 17BIT Software. His professional breakthrough came in 1988 when Codemasters commissioned him for "Nitro Boost Challenge." This opportunity paved the way for collaborations with Team17 on iconic Amiga titles like Alien Breed, Project-X, and Superfrog, solidifying his reputation in the gaming industry.
