Yes - the Jolly Roger flag, with its black background and white skull and crossbones, was designed to be scary. This flag was not used by all pirates; usually it was only flown by those sailing in the Spanish Main. And these pirates were all generally super-fit, terrifically muscled, swashbuckling, ultra-handsome chaps. So – imagine that you have a crew of such beasts before you right now… be afraid – be VERY afraid…
Eastwood Collieries' Male Voice Choir were invited to join The New Greasley Singers for a concert in July 2019. The concert was the final performance of The New Greasley Singers and it was organised to celebrate the choir's considerable achievements over the years. NGS had a long association with ECMVC, with both being based in the town of Eastwood and even sharing a number of members.
