Laytown races: the sights and sounds of horse racing on the beach!

Описание: The once-a-year meeting at Laytown beach is an iconic one in the Irish racing calendar - and indeed more widely as one of the very few race meetings held on a beach in world horse racing - and we bring you some of the sights and sounds from the 2025 fixture.

The weighing room, running rail and all facilities required for a raceday are assembled on the day and dismantled shortly after racing before the tide comes in, a unique logistical feat in horse racing that helps present one of the most memorable spectacles that this sport has to offer.

If you haven't been yet, it's definitely one for the bucket list! Laytown is around 28m from Dublin, with travel by car taking typically under an hour and approximately 60 minutes by train.
