Stardust for Paul Desmond feat. Ron Carter | Super Sax tribute (5x🎷🎷🎷🎷🎷)

Описание: A Sharp Eleven tribute to alto saxophonist Paul Desmond. I've always considered this Stardust version from the album "Jazz Live At Oberlin" one big improvised, lyrical, composition. He references the original melody sparsely about 3 times for 2 bars at a time.

I have the honor to have the legendary Ron Carter on bass. His sound is one you'd recognize in a million. In an act of half insanity I reached out to him because he's one of the few still around who has recorded on 6 studio albums under Desmond's own name as well as on his sessions with Chet Baker. Big was my surprise he was glad to do that.

This was made in collaboration with Elliot Deutsch @PandemoniumBigBand who made the sax soli arrangement. Check out his channel where he teaches you all these skills (including a small sample of this one!).
