Leontyne Price was legendary for many reasons, not least of all her glorious high notes. A few years ago, her brother revealed that even well into her 90s, she would vocalize up to the Queen of the Night’s high F every morning! While she rarely showcased her extreme top notes on stage, she certainly left us stunning examples in the recording studio. Here’s a quick sample of her soaring high notes, from B natural to E natural, drawn from her most famous recordings.
