Theodore Roosevelt National Park is a picturesque preserve split into three sections in western North Dakota. While much of the natural landscape of the state has suffered the effects of the oil boom, the park is a place where you can see glimmers of what the old plains and badlands would have looked like. Beautiful rock outcrops interspersed with grasses and fall foliage. Bison frequently encountered on the trails.
