When Optimus Primal yanks the chain from Battletrap’s hand, instead of being pulled toward Primal, Battletrap’s mechanical arm actually gets torn off, guys. This happens because of Primal’s incredibly powerful strike. Although Optimus Prime had previously slashed Battletrap’s arm with his sword, the hit wasn’t accurate. The arm that got detached was at the elbow, meaning it was purely the result of Primal’s immense force.

This also proves that Optimus Primal’s physical strength is far beyond what we might expect, even among the Maximals themselves. He doesn’t just rely on agility or animal instinct, but also possesses mechanical impact power strong enough to sever Cybertronian steel like Battletrap’s with a single move.
