Stakeknife - Government refuses to formally confirm identity of IRA spy

Stakeknife was a member of the IRA but also gave information to the army. The spy was linked to 14 murders and 15 abductions.

The UK Government was asked to name Stakeknife, with the Police Service of Northern Ireland chief Constable stating a refusal to do so is "bordering on farce".
