CHOCOLATE DONUT WITH CHOCOLATE FILLING| CHOCO LANAY DONUT/ ORIGINATED AT KAWASAN FALLS CEBU/
Choco lanay donut
This CHOCOLATE STREUSEL DONUT is inspired by the popular ‘CHOCO LANAY DONUT .they are sold in a small stall located at Kawasan Falls in Badian Cebu. The Recipe is absolutely from the scratched but I can say it was a success in the first attempt. The donut was so soft when you bite, with that creamy chocolate filling oozing in the center and coated with the right amount of sweetness from milk chocolate streusel. Its a treat.
For the donuts
2 cups flour + pinch of salt
1/4 cup raw cacao powder
1/4 cup of powdered milk
3 Tablespoons sugar
3/4 cup of warm water - if the dough needs more water you can add some.
one teaspoon yeast
2 tablespoons of butter
You must rest the dough for 45 minutes to 1 hour.
And rolled the dough in an almost flat shape, and left them to rest again for 45 minutes to 1 hour
For the filling
1/3 cup of raw cacao powder
1/4 cup cornflour
1/2 cup sugar
1/4 cup powdered milk
1/4 teaspoon instant coffee
1 & 1/2 cup milk
2 tablespoons of butter
Before turning on the stove mix everything will ( Except the butter ).
Then use medium heat until it thickens up then add the butter
keep it until it cools down.
For the coating
The dry coating
1/2 cup of raw cacao powder, powdered milk, and powdered sugar.
The liquid coating
1/3 cup powdered sugar
1/4 cup raw cacao powder
1/4 cup hot water

You can fry the donuts or you can use the oven
Fry them for 2-3 minutes each side. use medium heat.
Or bake them in 15 minutes in oven heat 190 Celsius.
Let them cool down before filling them up.
