제가 그동안 바라던 취미 재즈밴드는 이런 모습인 것 같습니다.
서로 순서대로 연주하고 싶은 곡을 말하면 비록 잘 모르는 곡이라도 우선 최선을 다해 연주해줍니다.
구성원이 다섯명이 넘다보니, 두번 합주를 했는데 벌써 많은 곡을 접해보는 효과도 있었습니다.
한 멤버가 영화 위플래쉬에서 들어본 Caravan 을 연주하자고 했을땐, 속으로 '내가 이곡도 라이브로 연주해보게 되는구나' 하고 정말 설레였습니다.
팀 리더인 드러머의 솔로도 라이브로 들으니 얼굴에 웃음이 정말 말로 표현할 수 없이 좋았습니다.
비록 매년 1월달에만 잠깐 볼 수 있는 친구들이지만, 매주 일요일 저녁 합주가 기다려집니다 !!!

This feels like the kind of jazz band I’ve been hoping for as a hobby.
We take turns suggesting songs we’d like to play, and even if it’s a tune we don’t know well, everyone still makes an effort to play it together.

With more than five members in the group, we’ve only had two rehearsals so far, but we’ve already had the chance to play quite a few songs.
When one member suggested playing Caravan, a tune from the movie Whiplash, I remember thinking to myself how exciting it was to get to play this song live as well.
Hearing the band leader’s drum solo in person was something I can hardly put into words.

Even though we only get together briefly in January, I find myself quietly looking forward to our Sunday evening rehearsals every week.
