Ep 26 | Culture Shock in Australia: Surviving 'The Dip' After The Move

This week’s vlog is all about 'the dip' that the majority of expats feel when they move to ANY country, not just Australia. This comes from culture shock and the seemingly extreme highs and lows that come with transitioning to a new place. It's usually kept quiet unless they're comfy with being called whingy - but you know I'm not about to hush up for the sake of that haha.

This 'dip' in moral and actually, your mental health, can be to various degrees depending on things like:

Who you know in your local area to feel connected and supported
How familiar you are with your surroundings
Any language barriers
Your expectations to name a few.

I know a lot of expats are watching my videos and using them before they make their own move somewhere, so I hope this helps with point 4 on the above list, to make the transition a bit easier for you!
