President Droupadi Murmu arrives in Odisha for 6-day visit

Описание: President of India Droupadi Murmu is arriving in Odisha today for a six-day official visit covering five districts — Puri, Khordha, Balasore, Jajpur, and Mayurbhanj, officials said.

The President will first arrive in Bhubaneswar and stay overnight before proceeding to various scheduled programmes across the state. As per the itinerary, President Murmu will attend the convocation ceremony of Fakir Mohan University on February 3. On the same day, she will visit Puri.

On February 4, the President will perform pind daan at the Swetaganga tank and later offer darshan of Mahaprabhu Jagannath at the Shrimandir. Preparations for the religious rituals were discussed during the Chhatisa Niyoga meeting. She will also visit Maa Biraja Temple in Jajpur and perform pind daan at Nabhigaya.

The President will have multiple programmes in Mayurbhanj district on February 5 and 6. Extensive security and administrative arrangements have been put in place to ensure a smooth and secure visit.
