I don’t have a lathe. And I needed an easy way to sand the wood rods I’m going to use for a woodworking project. But I remembered I have a broken lathe kit for a drill, and the tailstock fits well for mounting it on the drill press. I might try making a tool rest for the gouges to use it as a lathe, but for now, this idea works perfectly for sanding the wooden rods.
