Memory quilts are incredibly special! And also, often incredibly challenging for free motion quilting at the longarm.

Because this one is made 100% from clothes, the fabric content varies. There’s
denim
lace
t-shirts
voile (very fine and thin)
button plackets
metal snaps
hand stitched details

Even the backing is made from clothing bits, and has a ton of seams, so it’s been stabilized with a layer of muslin to keep everything reasonably flat and stable.

Care will need to be taken to keep all the memory bits intact. Topics will include:
planning and loading
design choices
thread
and of course the freehand quilting
