In the last video, I discussed how to put a stock ART-13 Autotune Transmitter on the air. This requires little more than an AC Power Supply, a Custom Power Cable and a Muffin Fan for added cooling. The ART-13 represents one of Collins groundbreaking efforts. So, you are on the lookout for one! But the "Clean" unit you obtain at the hamfest, estate sale, auction or swap, may not show up unmolested. Some talented "Conversion Artist" may have come before. Many Magazine Articles and Conversion Guides and books promised added operating convenience or performance or bands, with just a little bench work! These guides flooded the ham radio community pretty much as soon as these sets became surplus in 1946.
