What a day! This morning I got ready for the loop over the Susten, Grimsel and Furka. I expected wet and cold conditions around freezing point, but things turned out differently than planned. The Furka was temporarily closed during the night. Too bad, but we set off anyway. From Wassen we headed towards the top of the pass in wet conditions and were surprised by an extremely wide strip of bitumen that caused the three of us in the front to slide. Afterwards the cloud cover broke and we had wonderful weather and free roads for us. As luck would have it, this was the end of my season in the Alps, a worthy finale!
